We've had a busy few weeks!
At the beginning of Otober we went up to Skye to see Peggy's son graduate from the Galeic College. Seeing as he had to spend 2 years learning Gaelic before he could even start his course it was quite an achievement and Peggy is rightly proud of him.
We intended to spend the entire weekend touring around the island but the Skye weather conspired against us and all we saw was rain and low cloud. The waterfalls were impressive! This is a photo that I took on the Friday night before the rain started and gives you some idea of how beautiful the scenery is.
On the drive home I noticed that my throat was a little sore and that was the start of a cold that we've both had, one of those colds that keeps seeming to get better and then coming back. Peggy's still got a cough 6 weeks later.
We observed Samhain with friends in the East Neuk of Fife. About two dozen of us gathered for a ritual around the fire followed by the Dead Supper.
Peggy is now getting into the Christmas Craft Fairs that are starting to be held and we've both helped to organise a Mind Body & Soul event to be held in the Auchtermuchty Community Centre tomorrow night (11th November).
We're now looking forward to Yule and Christmas. We celebrate Yule and then we eat and drink too much for Christmas!
